Valentine's Day Flowers
Perhaps the most popular day of the year to give flowers is Valentine’s Day. This holiday is dedicated to love, and expressing our love for those in our lives. Valentine’s Day flowers are most commonly roses, the flower most strongly associated with love. Even within this category, though, there are many different options.
You can choose different colors of roses; while red are probably the most popular, there are also pink, white, yellow, and combination rose arrangements available. Short or long stem roses are available, with long stem being a little more expensive. And, of course, you have to decide who many roses to send. Some people are content with a few roses, while others prefer a grand gesture of a couple dozen or more. You can also choose rose arrangements with other lowers as accents. Iris are popular, as the purple highlights the red or pink of the roses; baby’s breath is popular for the same reason, though it is white.
There are other types of Valentine’s Day flowers as well. They tend to feature flowers that are red, pink, or white, as these are the colors people tend to associate with the day and with love. Tulips are popular because of their affordability and because they are less allergenic than many other flowers. Lilies are an exotic choice, and come in different varieties. Mixed Valentine’s arrangements are a good choice if you are unsure about what to get, or if you want to give something other than plain roses.
